Moonstruck

Last night, I was having the usual neurotic fixation with the moon. I was talking to her, admiring her light and beauty… but to my dismay, the clouds covered her up and it felt like the moon decided to close her doors on me. In a couple of minutes more, the rain started to fall. I guess it’s her tears… I guess it’s her way of pouring out her sadness… It must be pretty lonely up there, shining her light to people so they may find their way out of the dark night, sending romantic moonbeams to lovers in love and soothing crushed souls with her consoling silvery luminescence. It’s like the moon have these invisible arms that hug people in despair (hug me!)… but the ironic thing is that, is there someone out there who embraces her back? Is there something that consoles her as well? Does she receive appreciation with those romantic beams that she so willingly give? And this is what I’m doing. Trying to give something back to her… I maybe an insignificant speck of dust in this vast universe...

Chaos and Dandelion Wishes

5:16 am Thoughts from yesterday: I still have 1 hour 25 minutes left before work, and I don’t feel like staying at the office  so I decided to walk.  It was a simple walk to enjoy walking,  no direction,  no conscious goal ,  just a walk to kill time.   In walking you tend to have a deeper understanding of things...  It provides one the opportunity to converse with the self,  having furrow of topics , rising and falling ideas,  from light to serious ones, I am definitely damned to this. In approximately 15 meters from where I sit,  I can see moon dandelions blooming. Though I am not pretty sure if that's what they are called because I call the white ones moon dandelions and I call the yellow ones sun dandelions. It is perhaps from a dormant memory from the past, I remember someone telling me this and we both coined up the term. Anyway, Most people would see them as mere weeds. But I see them as wishes. And I'm goin there now, b...

On Lightning and Crickets

Horizon darkened by clouds, majestically hovering high as it hides the darkness of outer space. I see the sad eyes of eternity looking back at me with consolation, as if she feels my grief. Living in an utterly void existence for the past couple of months without doing anything or saying anything is starting to backfire. I feel succumbed to the painful liquid memories of yesterday. Trying to reach for that last drop of hope as I am trying to steal an elixir from the heavens, but how can one mortal manipulate the gods? In my spot I see the vicious whiplash of the misty wind as it shakes my garden. The trembling lightning looks like strobe lights from the sky dancing in an overture to a long orchestra of nothing but loud reverberations and crashes. They are like kids, playfully jumping from one cloud to another. I am seduced with the scene as I try so hard to capture one bolt released from Zeus’ majestic hand with my phone cam. My thoughts are drowning with the rain as my voice is ove...

Attempt at Poetry

Godly   skies are slowly breaking, eliminating the sun’s final breath, night-time visions, hope starts rising elude now from your nestled   crest ! Marveling   at this ghostly scene, yet still I think of my lunar   kin , lost   in the labyrinth of tessellation, unable to solve this mazes delusion. No rest for the wicked as what they say, again, the song of the moon made me astray. rock me in thy perfect   harmony , kill   me with thy notes done vaguely, In a mantra filled with agony, nocturnal tunes crafted out of fantasy. deathless rhythm in euphoric moon beams, reciting incantations as surreal as dreams, Every sound and resonance i see; do not dare wonder, this is my   reality ! the   world of sounds i see through my eyes, hark not science, heed your paradise, Alter how the laws of physics drudge, not by reason but by your hearts nudge. kaleidoscopic thoughts be gone with the melody, singing a b...

The Illusion of Bliss

In the depths of darkness, he feels alone Missing his purpose, his heart a stone In the night sky, he searches for a sign Sorrow weighs heavy, like a burden divine Spiraling down, lost in his own abyss Yearning for a glimmer of hope, a moment of bliss Overwhelmed by the weight of his despair Unsure if anyone truly cares Loneliness consumes him, a constant ache Numbness sets in, his emotions fake Arms stretched out, he calls out in the dark Restless heart seeking a spark Kneeling down, he whispers to the moon Intertwining fingers, he feels less marooned Nurtured by the lunar light, he begins to see Dawn breaking forth, the start of a jubilee Reborn in hope, he stands once more Eyes shining with a new fervor newly strengthened, he faces the night Driven by the knowledge that all will be right.

Orange Moon

It’s extraordinarily cold today, my plants suffering from frost as my thoughts are. It’s as if my entire day is frozen to that particular moment earlier – where the coldness of the entire scenario still haunts me down.  I am frozen in time, immortalized in a moment which is not so good to remember. Icy winds are howling, nagging me for an earlier stupid act – I crave for that stupidity and this craving appears to be insatiable. It makes me feel remorseful though, yet i still do that: where I could have said something yet prefer to be silent.  I feel pain but its ok, to feel pain. (or to feel anything) Feeling is only a small part of the entire life process. At least I know I am alive and I am not devoid of any emotion. This wind, this coldness, the moon – all are just tiny fragments of the things I want to say and write, these topics, as redundant as they are, is what makes me as me. Perhaps I really do take life seriously, I take simple things too seriously – Like how t...

New Years Resolution

Its fundamentally an eschatological treatment to one’s miserable year: in other words, regret. People are resentful of their past year, hoping to make the upcoming year better, brighter and lighter by making promises to themselves which most of the time, they really have no intention of keeping. I don’t make resolutions as I know that I am bonded to my promises. I never want to make a promise to myself that I can’t preserve (in as much as I don’t want to make promises to people that I know I can’t keep.) As clichéd as it sounds, we don’t need to wait for a new year to aim for transformation and new life. Change takes place everyday- Mutation (destructive) and Evolution (constructive) takes place every fudgin day. From the setting of the sun to the rising of the moon, we are already at the mercy of change though most of the times, we ignore it. We are a completely different person 1 second ago – and we don’t have to make promises to appease ourselves of the change happening in us. We w...

Stars and Songs

It’s 2 am and I am still awake. Though I had a long nap this afternoon, for some reason, my stubborn brain suddenly erupts in these manic streaks. My mind suddenly reboots itself and in a couple of minutes, I become as hyper as a kid who just ate 27 chocolate bars.  Since it’s pointless to lie down and struggle to find the best position, I took my laptop, go out at the porch and started writing. As sat there, I looked at the heavens and there shines my moon together with the stars. The sky was barren of clouds and you can perfectly see how the earth is blanketed by the dark sky as the moon and the stars gave it an enchanting touch.  The moon’s light is waning, so are my thoughts. I guess I am lunatic as I can write lots whenever the moon goes full. I consider the moon as my muse so I wondered, Why can't I shift my obsession to the stars?  I think this is quite improbable. Stars are illusions, I mean, most of the time, the light that we see from these stars are actually t...

Morning Moon

Tulad ng dark side of the moon. Yung lighted side lang ang tangi nating nakik...

Escaping Wonderland

Cosmic contingencies in wonderland Heavenly synchronicities grasped like sand, Ever occurring, ever happening Sarcastic moon, ever smiling. Harness all wit to solve the conundrum Intricate puzzles forcing one’s doom Running to an imprisoned universe Escaping from a maligned curse Cold December breeze pierces the soul Accursed badly by the eudaimonia I stole, Tea-times over it’s time to escape this rabbit hole.

Lunacy

Am I crazy? Probably. Mad for hunting happiness like a ghost in a hall of mirrors. Lunatic, fixated on the moon—this divine itch I can’t scratch. Crazy enough to enter the labyrinth knowing every turn tightens the noose, knowing the path back is steeper, darker, more broken. Yet this place — my fractured kingdom — is brutal, raw, and utterly beautiful. So damn beautiful it makes logic seem like exile. I built this asylum and it hums with a strange stillness, a playground of beasts, shadows, and myth, and somehow I belong, like a relic resurfaced from another lifetime. I want this rabbit hole to be the real escape. That the Mad Hatter and White Rabbit aren’t just fantasies, that waking up isn’t the cruelest plot twist. Sometimes I think sleep is the real world— where conversations unravel freely from physics to philosophy, where masks drop, where I’m stripped of pretense. This place alone feels like home. The labyrinth is a puzzle—harsh, complex, relentless— I stumble, fall, rise, ...

Dark Side of the Moon and the Tip of the Iceberg

In the hushed solitude of night, under a sky punctuated by celestial wonders, I find myself contemplating the enigma of the moon’s dark side and the iceberg’s tip—the eternal symbols of the hidden and the revealed,  urging us to bridge the chasm between the visible and the concealed. You see, the moon presents to us only one face. The other side, the dark side, remains perpetually out of view, a silent expanse shrouded in mystery. It’s not merely a physical obscurity but a profound metaphor for the uncharted territories within us. This dark side is not just a void; it’s a space brimming with the shadows of our deepest fears, our unspoken desires, the parts of ourselves we keep hidden. It’s the silent echo of our inner worlds, unexamined and unspoken. In embracing this dark side, we confront the uncomfortable truths about ourselves. What lies in the far reaches of our inner moon? Perhaps it’s the grief we’ve buried, the dreams we’ve abandoned, the truths we dare not speak. This dark...
