That One Chair in the House Nobody Sits On

I woke up at 3 a.m. to go to the CR. Nothing dramatic. No nightmare. No existential crisis—just the bladder doing its biological thing. But on the way back, as I passed through the hallway, I noticed it again. That chair. The one in the corner. Beige. Woven arms. Slightly tilted, as if someone had just stood up and forgotten to fix it. Except no one ever sits there. It’s weird, right? How a chair—something built for sitting—can spend its whole life untouched. Like it was assigned a role and then silently exiled from it. That chair doesn’t serve a function anymore. It’s a fixture. A witness. A relic. And in the half-light of 3 a.m., it didn’t look lonely. It looked… patient. That’s when it hit me. What if it wasn’t just a chair? What if it was absorbing things? Regrets. Thoughts no one says out loud. That creeping, subtle unease you feel when your life is technically okay but still feels misaligned. Maybe that’s why no one sits there. Maybe that’s where those quiet feelings go to...

Sometimes

Sometimes... words fall short of explanation and are deemed worthless. Sometimes... It's not with anyone telling us things, nor with anyone interpreting things for us, but it's with anyone not making words at all... Sometimes... mumbles, are enough to fill your head, these un-worded sounds are enough to exhume the deepness of your thoughts with an inexplicable silence that commands everything else. Sometimes... We are at the brink of believing that this is the hitch in the universe's breath. When the universe itself pauses to listen; When the universe takes you out of yourself. Sometimes... It is that same silence which takes you out of your smallness, takes you and gathers you with it - No concept of causality around... It is the silence that moves us... it is the silence which stills.

Maybe

There was a time I thought saying “maybe” meant you didn’t know what you were doing. Like certainty was the mark of competence. You’re either in or out. Yes or no. Pick a side. Now I see “maybe” as resistance. A quiet refusal to be rushed into clarity. A pause in a world that demands immediacy. People ask: "Are you sure this is the right path?" Maybe. "Do you know what you want?" Maybe. "Is this who you want to be?" Maybe. I’m not indecisive—I’m just unwilling to pretend complexity fits neatly into binaries. Most things aren’t clean. Most choices aren’t final. Most truths shift when you look at them twice. I used to think “maybe” was the space between two stronger words. Now I think it’s a full sentence. A boundary. A breath. The courage to say: I’m still becoming. I haven’t arrived. I don’t want to promise anything just to feel safe. We’re taught to pick a lane, plant a flag, define the relationship, be sure. But maybe “maybe” is the most hones...

For Those Who Are Fighting

In the depths of your spirit, a blazing inferno roars, A tempestuous flame, yearning to explore, Yet weariness ensnares you, a suffocating shroud, From years entrenched in survival's merciless crowd. You're not lazy, devoid of drive, nor ensnared in plight, Banish such thoughts, let your spirit ignite, For within your weary soul, lies a dormant might, Waiting for its moment to unleash and take flight. Survival's domain, a violent realm it seems, Where relentless battles are fought in shattered dreams, Every day a grueling struggle to cling and cope, And exhaustion descends like an anchor's heavy slope. But know this kindred, there's a difference here, Between weariness and a spirit held clear, You've weathered storms and faced your fears, Now it's time to rest, to dry your tears. The world may whisper, "Keep moving, don't cease," But listen closely, find your inner peace, You've earned this respite, this moment of pause, To heal your wounds...

Quiet Rebellion of Doing Nothing

In a world that never stops, where the hum of ambition drowns out the silence, there’s something radical about stillness. Something defiant about simply existing, without the weight of tasks, without the tick of a clock pressing down. We call it laziness, this refusal to move, this soft rebellion against the rush. But perhaps it’s not laziness at all. Maybe it’s the first act of courage— the courage to refuse to be consumed, the courage to be nothing and still be enough. We are told to produce, to grow, to constantly be reaching, always becoming, always striving. But what if there’s wisdom in the pause? In the slow, deliberate moments where nothing is expected and everything is allowed to breathe? Sometimes doing nothing is the only way to find everything. In the spaces where we are "doing nothing," we find pieces of ourselves that get lost in the noise. We remember what it feels like to simply be, to exist without purpose, without striving fo...
