Echoes of Solitude

Silence is not empty—it is a room where the walls are made of mirrors, and every reflection is a question you’ve been too busy to answer. I sit with it often, this absence of sound, this weight of nothing pressing against my ribs. At first, it feels like drowning. Then, like floating. Then, like neither—just a suspended moment where the mind, starved of distraction, begins to feed on itself.   What are you afraid of?   the quiet asks.   Everything,   I think.   Name one,   it insists. And so I do. Solitude peels back the layers we wear for others until only the raw, unedited self remains. There is no audience here, no performance to sustain—just the slow, uncomfortable intimacy of your own company. You realize, with a dull ache, how much of your life is built on avoiding this exact confrontation. The things we call "loneliness" are often just truths we’ve been running from. I used to think silence was passive. Now I know it’s the most aggressive trut...

Dead Butterfly Story

Night time literally brings me ominous and vivid reflections on how my day was spent. At times, it relaxes me especially when the day went my way (I have a very simple definition of happiness really... to stop thinking. That’s it…)but in most moments, my days feel like crap.  It sucks when you wake up in the morning and you start feeling that familiar asphyxiating feeling… that feeling of being so darn damned and yet, you don’t know the reason why you feel such. (or perhaps you know why, but you just can’t go around the wall anymore.) I am being sucked in by a void, where I remain static, unable to move and can’t fudging do anything ‘right’. I mean, that instance when you are so disoriented both in thoughts and actions and you just find yourself staring at blank space. It's fudge... I am being weighed down by an invisible force – I am held captive by my own demons. I am trying to fight a losing battle and the path I want to go to dims and disappears right before my eyes.  I...

Against the Pursuit of Happiness

The truth is not hidden in the fleeting smiles we chase, but in the stillness that comes with truly seeing. And in that seeing, we become more than content—we become awake, truly alive. The clarity we seek does not promise comfort or ease; it is sharp, cutting through the veil of what we believe we need. In that sharpness, we are forced to confront the weight of our existence, the choices we have made, and the ones still waiting for us. Clarity doesn’t whisper; it roars with a quiet intensity, breaking us open. It reveals the lies we tell ourselves, the excuses that hold us captive, and the dreams that were never ours to begin with. And in that brutal revelation, there is freedom. Because once we see, we cannot unsee. And when we stop chasing happiness, we finally start to live the lives we were meant to, not in pursuit of joy, but in pursuit of the truth that makes joy irrelevant. In the end,  clarity isn’t a destination; it’s a radical transformation that leaves nothing untouch...

Between Starvation and the Scream

The soul does not whisper—it starves or screams. All in between is the illusion of peace. In the silence between the soul’s starvation and its outcry, we find the illusion of quiet—an artificial stillness that keeps us from confronting the essential hunger of being. It’s in the cries we refuse to hear, the ones we bury beneath distractions, that the true self makes itself known. The peace we crave is often the peace we’ve made of compromise, a truce with our most uncomfortable truths. But peace, in this sense, is not reconciliation—it’s resignation. We imagine that the soul's desire can be satisfied by a soft murmur, by polite introspection. We overlook the primal scream that rises when we’ve neglected the body and spirit for too long. To experience truth is to starve, to let ourselves hunger for more than what the world offers—only then can we hear the scream that shatters the quiet. It is only when the soul’s yearning is left unchecked, when we are stripped of the comforts of ig...
