Against the Pursuit of Happiness

The truth is not hidden in the fleeting smiles we chase, but in the stillness that comes with truly seeing. And in that seeing, we become more than content—we become awake, truly alive. The clarity we seek does not promise comfort or ease; it is sharp, cutting through the veil of what we believe we need. In that sharpness, we are forced to confront the weight of our existence, the choices we have made, and the ones still waiting for us. Clarity doesn’t whisper; it roars with a quiet intensity, breaking us open. It reveals the lies we tell ourselves, the excuses that hold us captive, and the dreams that were never ours to begin with. And in that brutal revelation, there is freedom. Because once we see, we cannot unsee. And when we stop chasing happiness, we finally start to live the lives we were meant to, not in pursuit of joy, but in pursuit of the truth that makes joy irrelevant. In the end,  clarity isn’t a destination; it’s a radical transformation that leaves nothing untouch...

Seven

When you dance with the devil, betrayal is not a misstep,  it's not some fleeting moment of faltering in the rhythm ---  it’s the entire choreography,  stitched into the very fabric of the waltz you thought you could master.  Every sway,  every spin,  every seductive glide  is laced with deception.  You think you can outpace him, maybe even rewrite the rules.  But what you fail to see is that there are no rules with him.  He drips betrayal like sweat,  every gesture a broken promise,  every breath a loaded dice roll. A Memory of Bliss Park

There’s this soft, secret voice that lingers in the quiet spaces of my thoughts—memory, I think. It has a way of twisting everything into something prettier, more manageable, more… manageable in a way that lets me live with it. It’s like a song that plays on repeat, and no matter how much I know the lyrics are flawed, they’re still the only ones I can sing along to. I find myself remembering moments that, if I were truly honest, weren’t all that beautiful. The pain wasn’t soft then; it was jagged, cutting through everything I thought I knew. Yet somehow, when I look back now, those same moments are wrapped in this nostalgic haze, like a filter over a blurry photo. I’ll see the cracks in the walls of my life, the broken places that didn’t heal right, but somehow those jagged edges shine like they’re meant to. It’s strange, how memory can romanticize the wreckage. There are stories I tell myself now, stories of what I was, what I could have been, what I once felt. I twist the pain i...
